About Angie Niemeyer
Pilates Educator • Studio Owner • Mentor
Pilates has the power to transform how we move, feel, and live. For Angie, it's more than a profession; it's a lifelong passion.
As the founder of Toluca Lake Pilates and The Pilates School, she is dedicated to helping people build strength, confidence, and lasting wellness through thoughtful, intentional movement.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience and a decade of teaching Pilates, she believes Pilates education should be personalized, accessible, and empowering, whether guiding clients or mentoring the next generation of instructors.
A Lifelong Leader & Educator
Before founding Toluca Lake Pilates, Angie built a successful career in media, marketing, and executive leadership. Those experiences shaped the strategic thinking, collaboration, and relationship-building skills that continue to influence her work today.
Whether leading a studio, mentoring instructors, or developing educational programs, she believes exceptional teaching begins with strong leadership, meaningful connection, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Comprehensive Pilates Education
Angie completed her 500-hour Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training through Pilates Sports Center International in a one-on-one mentorship format that shaped her belief in personalized instructor education. Over the past decade, she has helped clients of all ages and experience levels move with greater confidence while mentoring instructors through thoughtful, individualized guidance.
She remains deeply appreciative of the mentorship she received through Pilates Sports Center, an experience that continues to influence her philosophy of personalized teacher education. Her studio and The Pilates School are built on that same foundation, combining rigorous standards, hands-on experience, and personalized mentorship to prepare confident, capable Pilates professionals.
Supporting the Pilates Community
In 2025, Angie was elected to the Board of Directors of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), where she contributes to advancing the Pilates profession and supporting high standards in Pilates education.
As she prepares to launch The Pilates School, she remains committed to mentoring future instructors, fostering professional growth, and supporting the next generation of Pilates instructors.
Her teaching Philosophy is simple:Meet every client where they are and help them move toward where they want to be.
